# Official Trezor™ Suite®® — Desktop & Web App for Hardware Wallets

> Trezor Suite helps you securely manage crypto assets, monitor balances, track transactions, and connect with your Trezor hardware …

Trezor Suite is the official companion application for Trezor hardware wallets, replacing the older Trezor Wallet web interface. It is available as a desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as a web app, and as a mobile app for Android and iOS. The setup process is designed to take about 15 minutes and guides you through firmware installation, wallet creation, and backup verification.

**Security Reminder: Download Only from Official Sources**

Trezor explicitly warns about phishing sites appearing in search results. You should only download Trezor Suite from the official website at [**trezor.io/trezor-suite**](http://trezor.io/trezor-suite) or from Trezor's official GitHub page . Do not trust search ads or third-party download links.

**Step One: Download and Install the App**

Go to the official Trezor Suite page and select the download for your operating system. For desktop users, choose "Download for desktop." Windows users need Windows 10 (64-bit) or newer; the same installer works for Windows 10 and 11 . Mac and Linux versions are also available. Mobile and ChromeOS users can download the app from the Play Store or App Store, or simply use the web app at [**suite.trezor.io/web**](http://suite.trezor.io/web) .

If Windows displays a warning that the file "was blocked because it could harm your device," Trezor notes this is usually a false positive related to certificate changes. You can proceed by clicking the three-dot menu next to the blocked file, selecting "Keep," and confirming . For users who want to verify the download, Trezor provides GPG signatures and signing keys on the download page, with verification instructions for Linux, macOS, and Windows .

**Step Two: Connect and Verify Your Device**

Plug your Trezor device into your computer using the provided USB cable and open Trezor Suite. The app will detect the device and display a security check. If anything looks unusual, Trezor provides guidance for authenticating your device . For a brand-new device, Trezor ships without firmware for security reasons, so Suite will guide you through installing the latest firmware. You can choose between Standard firmware or Bitcoin-only firmware depending on your needs .

**Step Three: Create a New Wallet and Write Down Your Backup**

After firmware installation, Suite asks whether you want to create a new wallet or recover an existing one. For a new setup, select "Create a new wallet." The app will recommend a backup type—by default, a 12-word wallet backup (recovery seed). Your Trezor device will display the words one by one on its screen. You must write them down in the exact order on the provided recovery seed card .

Crucially, Trezor warns: **Never enter your backup anywhere other than directly on your Trezor device.** Fake apps and websites may try to trick you into typing your words; if you do, your funds can be stolen. Keep your backup written on paper or metal and stored safely offline . After writing the words, the device will ask you to select specific words from your backup to verify you copied them correctly.

**Step Four: Set a PIN**

Your PIN protects the device from unauthorized access. Trezor recommends using at least 4 digits (up to 50 digits are allowed) and avoiding simple sequences like "12345" or personally meaningful numbers such as birthdays . You enter the PIN directly on the Trezor device itself, not through the computer. Be aware that after 16 incorrect PIN attempts, the wallet will be erased from the device .

**Step Five: Add Accounts and Manage Your Crypto**

Once setup is complete, you can add accounts in Trezor Suite for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage. The Suite dashboard provides an overview of your portfolio, and the Accounts tab lets you send, receive, and monitor transaction history . Recent updates have added features like stablecoin yield under the Earn tab, improved trading offer comparison, and DeFi token visibility for EVM accounts .

**Recent Mobile Updates Worth Knowing**

The mobile version of Trezor Suite (Android) received a notable update in version 26.10.2. Passphrases can now be up to 128 characters long. Full send flow for ADA and Cardano native tokens has been added. Bitcoin swapping is now available on mobile through both DEX and CEX providers. The Arc EVM network is supported. Sign & Verify functionality is now possible on mobile. Stellar Soroban (SEP-41) tokens have improved support for sending, receiving, and DeFi use .

**Final Reminders**

Trezor Suite is a non-custodial interface; your private keys remain on your hardware device. Trezor will never ask for your recovery seed through the app, email, or social media. Always verify that you are interacting with the official Trezor Suite application and that your device screen matches what the app displays before confirming any transaction.
